So You Wanna Join the Band.

Awesome. The rules are simple.

Be cool. No bullshit. Do the work.

Seriously, that’s what it all boils down to. It may sound harsh, but what more could you want from the people you put your trust in?

I got hooked on marketing because I love making things. Especially things that help amazing people do incredible things for other people. But I want to be smart about it and I don’t want to deal with bullshit or drama. So, I started my own band, and now I make the rules.

What We Believe and How We Work
  • We believe that everyone – regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, religion or country of origin – deserves to be treated equally, with kindness, dignity and respect.
  • We choose to work with people who share this same belief, who are doing their thing, but also helping to make the world a better place. Even if it’s just by being cool.
  • We innovate and use technology in ways that help people make more informed, strategic and beneficial decisions, while helping our clients meet their marketing objectives.
  • We respect privacy and mindfully use media, metrics and online platforms in ways that promote positive dialogue. We don’t invade people’s privacy or add to the “noise” of today’s toxic culture.
  • We’re not experts about everything. We do our best to continually learn new things, and we lean on the knowledge and experience of our creative partners to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Trust is earned, so we work hard every day to deserve it. We keep our promises. We stick to budgets. We meet our deadlines. We do our best to exceed expectations.
  • “Good enough” isn’t good enough. Sloppiness is sacrilege. Boring is bad.
  • No bullshit. We believe in authentic communication – full stop.
  • No drama. It just gets in the way of doing good work, and honestly, it’s exhausting.
  • No divas. Rudeness will get a cup of coffee poured over your head. Try me.
Oh, and one more thing (we get asked this a lot)

“Do you have to be a girl to work with Clever Girl?” Dude. Of course, not. But you do have to be at least a little clever, ya dig?
